Goto-Financial is a for profit business cooperative for the betterment of investment advisors in helping them with: Cost control, improvement of client/advisor experience, and transition legacy. Our focus is providing members with a superiro environment to achieve profitability and satisfaction.
Ian Goldey – President, A young entrepreneur, Mr. Goldey filed his first patent at age 11 and had multiple start-ups prior to joining the financial services industry in 1986. Prior to starting Goldey Capital, Ian had over 14 years experience working as an advisor at major financial firms, UBS Financial Services Inc and Salomon Smith Barney.
His previous experiences include the titles of Senior Portfolio Manager and Senior Consulting Group Associate, the highest internal levels available by his former firms for specialized managed money. He was also on the technology committee for both his prior firms and many of his suggestions were used to improve trading and CRM systems that are being used today. As a portfolio manager with discretionary authority, Ian estimates he has traded over a $1bb in securities over his career at these firms. Mr. Goldey has lived in San Fernando Valley for 42 years, and now resides in Agoura Hills CA with his wife of 11 years and 7 years old son. Besides gardening Ian enjoys; traveling, museums, science, history, economics, technology, music/ live concerts, classic cars, and hosting dinner parties at our house.
Brian Charles – Operations Manager, Brian grew up in Los Angeles, and attended school at Arizona State University in Tempe, AZ. He has spent the last 15 years as a finance director in the automobile business. Mr. Charles was actively involved in industry compliance for the dealer group he worked for. In addition, he helped test market many new financial products that are in use today.
After 22 years in Arizona, he has moved back to take on this opportunity with Goldey Capital. Brian has a Masters in Accountancy from the University of Phoenix. In his free time, you can find him trying to get to the final table in a local poker tournament, or relaxing on Zuma beach.
